East Bay Consortium

Increasing parent participation in their child's education is of the highest priority for the Easy Bay Consortium. Parents and families are vital to the Pre-Collegiate Academy programs and to their child's active involvement in enrichment activities.

During the summer, parents and families are given the opportunity to participate in the Parent Institute for Quality Education. Parents discuss issues that range from adolescence to communicating with school administrators. Parents graduate from the Institute feeling empowered and determined to remain involved in their child's education.

During the academic year, parents are required to attend mandatory meetings that focus on students' progress in school and participation in PCA. Parents are also required to participate in the Family Saturday Program where they have the opportunity to work with their children on hands-on Science and Math activities.
