Oakland Rotary Scholarships

The Oakland Rotary club offers a limited number of scholarships each year to Oakland students through their high schools. They offer two scholarships: the Saroni-Lena Scholarship and the District 5170 Scholasrhip/Grant. 

Saroni-Lena Scholarships – The Saroni-Lena Scholarship Committee has provided more than $1.2 million in scholarships to Oakland youth. The scholarship is for Oakland high school students who have demonstrated a need for financial assistance and are academically qualified to complete a 4-year college degree. (One student from each Oakland high school can apply, and the application form must be obtained from the guidance counselor or principal.)

District 5170 Scholarships/Grants – For graduate students interested in international affairs. For scholars whose course of study is directed toward fulfilling the mission of The Rotary Foundation and lends itself to the Rotary International credo, which is “Service Above Self.” We prefer that your course of study involve some type of humanitarian emphasis.
