Specifics

SSU offers several scholarship programs. The merit-based University Scholarship Program is the largest one, requiring a single application. The application consists of a narrative, two letters of recommendation, and the online application submission. You must be an applicant, already accepted, or a current student at SSU in order to apply for a university scholarship. Formal admission to SSU is not required. The application period begins September 15th for the next academic year. The deadline to submit the materials is January 15

In addition to the above program, SSU also guarantees a $1,000 Presidential Scholar Program for incoming freshmen who have a cumulative weighted 4.0 g.p.a. or above for their sophomore, junior and first semester senior years. 

The CSU Future Scholars Scholarships are desgined for low-income, first generation college students. It is renewable for up to four years. 

Theatre Arts and Music Scholarships offer their own specific scholarships for which a separate application/audition is necessary.

Athletic Talent Awards are determined by the coaches of athletic teams.

Departmental Scholarships are specific to department within the college.
