After graduating from Alameda High School, I attended the Peralta Community College District before transferring to the University of California, Irvine, where I completed my studies. Currently, I work as a Software Test Engineer at a biotechnology company in Menlo Park, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems.
My favorite memory at PCA is starting as a student in the program, eventually graduating, and then returning as a staff member, following in the footsteps of my brothers who did the same. Each summer, I see the transformation in the students I teach, witnessing their growth and development firsthand. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch them complete PCA, achieve their goals, and move on to college, which has always been the program’s ultimate aim. Knowing I’ve played a part in their journey and contributed to their success is an experience I cherish deeply.
I want to express my deep gratitude to EBC/EBSCC/PCA for taking me in and helping me grow not only as a student but as an adult. They instilled in me lifelong values that I continue to apply daily—such as networking by engaging with others, honing my critical thinking skills through our memorable ‘Problem of the Week’ exercises, and treating others with respect. EBC/EBSCC/PCA didn’t just support me in graduating high school; they guided me through college, helped me secure my first job, and ultimately led me to my first career. I am truly grateful to everyone at EBC/EBSCC/PCA for their invaluable role in shaping me into the person I am today.
